The 2015 National Book Development Trust Fund Grant

The National Book Development Board (NBDB), the government agency mandated to develop and support the Philippine book publishing industry, has recently launched a call for applications for the National Book Development Trust Fund Grant for 2015. Authors and organizations are invited to submit at least 25 percent of their manuscripts or research works for books. The chosen works will receive a grant of P200,000.00 each. Research grants for foreign scholars in Chinese Studies

The Center for Chinese Studies (CCS) has been established to promote research in Chinese studies in the Republic of China (Taiwan) and overseas, and to facilitate communication among scholars and institutions worldwide.  The CCS, based in the ROC National Central Library, is now offering Research grants to Foreign Scholars in Chinese Studies. This program is open to Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, Doctoral Candidates as well as researchers in foreign institutions. Research tenure is three months to one year. APEC Science Prize for Innovation, Research and Education (ASPIRE)

The call for nomination for the APEC Science Prize for Innovation, Research and Education (ASPIRE) through APEC Policy partnership on Science, Technology and Innovation (PPSTI) is now open.  For its host year of 2015 the Philippines selects “Disaster Risk Reduction: Understanding the Role of Climate Change and Variability” as the ASPIRE nominating theme. The Office is once again accepting nominations for the Concepcion Dadufalza Award for Distinguished Achievement until 31 July 2016. The award aims to honor individuals of distinction, to keep alive the selfless vision and values of Professor Dadufalza. The award is open to anyone who has been affiliated with UP — student, alumnus/alumna, faculty member, researcher — who meets the criteria of the award (Download the Guidelines). Call for applications: Scientific Career System 2015

All non-faculty researchers are invited to apply to the Scientific Career System CY 2015 of the Department of Science and Technology and the Civil Service Commission. Under the program, productive researchers of the Research, Extension and Professional Staff (REPS) in UP are given the opportunity to be promoted up to a salary grade 30, the equivalent of a full professor rank. Evaluation will be based on accomplishments made between January 2005 to December 2014. Call for proposals on policy research

The UP Center for Integrative and Development Studies (CIDS) invites proposals for policy research on any of the CIDS research priorities. Entitlements include  full-time detail to an appropriate government agency or to UPCIDS to conduct policy research work for one academic year, and a monetary award of P500,000. Call for applications for USAID STRIDE scholarships and research grants
