Concepcion D. Dadufalza Award for Distinguished Achievement
Funded by a graduate of the University who requests anonymity, the award aims to honor individuals of distinction, to keep alive the selfless vision and values of Professor Dadufalza.
Distinguished Artists-, Scientists-, and Academics-in-Residence
In line with its goal to intensify internationalization and provide world-class education, the University of the Philippines is inviting eminent/renowned/expert writers, musicians, artists, scientists, engineers and academics living overseas to teach and mentor our young researchers and artists
Emerging Interdisciplinary Research Program (EIDR)
The University is inviting innovative, interdisciplinary, inter-CU research programs and projects that aim to generate fundamentally new knowledge contributing to the understanding of natural phenomena, and with beneficial applications.
Enhanced Creative Work and Research Grant (ECWRG)
The ECWRG aims to encourage faculty and REPS to undertake research or creative work that will lead to publications, exhibitions, performances of creative work or other significant output such as patents, new software, and advanced technologies.
Both local and international externships are supported. Considerable weight will be given to the impact or significance of the applicant’s research to advancing the goals of the unit or the department.
Gawad Pangulo for Progressive Teaching and Learning
The UP System Gawad Pangulo for Progressive Teaching and Learning is a competition which aims to recognize faculty who are outstanding in course development and teaching.

Alinsunod sa patakaran sa wika ng Unibersidad, inaasahan na lalong huhusay ang mga publikasyon sa Filipino ng mga fakulti at REPS sa pamamagitan ng pagkilalang idudulot ng gawad.
Gémino H Abad Awards for Poetry and for Literary Criticism
The Awards are established with support from an anonymous donor who would like to honor University Professor Emeritus Gémino Abad for the inestimable depth, breadth and vision of his lifetime work in the humanities, particularly in the fields of poetry and literary criticism, to which he has contributed immensely.
International Publication Award (IPA)
The purpose of the award is to encourage faculty, REPS and students to contribute to the body of knowledge in their respective fields/discipline by publishing in internationally respected journals that are peer-reviewed and adhere to high standards of scholarship.
Invention Disclosure Incentive
It is a monetary award given to a researcher, faculty member, student, staff or visiting professor who reports the existence of a research or invention and assigns the patent and other related rights to the University in accordance with the UP Intellectual Property Rights Policy.
One U.P. Professorial Chair Awards and One U.P. Faculty Grant Awards
These aim to further provide recognition and incentives to faculty members who have demonstrated outstanding performance in two out of three work areas of the faculty: teaching, research or creative work, and public service.
PhD and Master’s Fellowship Program
The program was established to improve the number of University personnel with advanced degrees.
Research Dissemination Grant (RDG)
It is awarded to outstanding faculty and REPS researchers who receive invitations or gain acceptance to present their research papers in prestigious international conferences.
Service of Professor Emeritus and Retired Professor Program
Retired professors and professors emeriti may be invited to serve as co-advisers, readers or panel members for master’s theses and PhD dissertations, or hold positions as professorial administrators or professorial K to 12 teacher trainers.
Short-term Training in Foreign Universities
Short-term training in foreign universities will provide opportunities for the UP academic staff to update themselves on curriculum and pedagogy and to undergo retooling and advanced training in research and creative work.
Teaching Associate/Teaching Fellow Program (TA/TF)
The UP Teaching Assistantship (Teaching Fellows and Teaching Associates) Program has been implemented since AY 2015-16.
UP Arts Productivity System (APS)
Deserving artists and arts scholars in the faculty and research staff will be conferred the title “UP Artist” with a monetary award.
UP Scientific Productivity System (SPS)
Deserving scientists shall be conferred the title “UP Scientist” with a monetary award.
Visiting Professor Program (VPP)
UP is inviting Filipino experts and foreign professors and researchers to spend one to two months in UP to team teach courses, mentor graduate students, and collaborate in research and creative work with UP faculty and researchers.
