Rosalie Arcala Hall, PhD is Professor of Political Science and Scientist III at the University of the Philippines Visayas. She earned her Masters and PhD from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts, USA on a Fulbright-Hayes scholarship. She was involved in research projects on disaster management, water governance, civil-military relations and maritime security with grants from Konrad Adenauer Stiftung-Philippines, The Asia Foundation, The Nippon Foundation, and Toyota Foundation. She has published articles in the Philippine Political Science Journal, Asian Security, Res Militaris, and Contemporary Southeast Asia. Her latest work include co-edited volumes Pathways for Irregular Forces in Southeast Asia (Routledge, 2022) and Military Operation and Engagement in the Domestic Jurisdiction (Brill, 2022). She is a member of the Philippine Commission on Higher Education Technical Committee on Political Science and past President of the Philippine Political Science Association.
