UP honors recipients of the UP Arts Productivity System

The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs held the UP Arts Productivity System (APS) Awards Ceremony on August 15 at Atencio-Libunao Hall, UP Diliman, recognizing 48 UP Artists across Cycles 2023–2025 and 2024–2026, with 32 receiving their awards in person.

The APS highlights outstanding artistic productivity and arts scholarship, celebrating our faculty and researchers whose works enrich our national culture and identity. In recognition of their achievements, awardees are conferred the title of “UP Artist,” rank I, II, or III, along with a monetary award.

The two cycles recognized 30 UP Artist I, 14 UP Artist II, and four UP Artist III honorees across diverse disciplines, including literature, visual arts, music, theater, film, and broadcast or digital media.

Vice President for Academic Affairs Lorraine Pe Symaco delivered the opening remarks while President Angelo A. Jimenez gave the closing message. Both highlighted the value of the arts and humanities to our personal lives and the broader society.

Vice President for Planning and Finance Joselito G. Florendo served as the host.
