ETHICS OF SERVICE-LEARNING AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

About the Conference

The University of the Philippines System with the Asia-Pacific Community of Practice (APCoP) will host the 2026 Asia-Pacific Community of Practice Conference at the University of the Philippines Diliman Campus on 15-17 June, 2026. APCoP is part of the International Association for Research on Service Learning and Community Engagement (IARSLCE) network.

The conference, with the theme “Ethics of Service-Learning and Community Engagement,” aims to feature innovative methodologies in service-learning and community engagement research, and spark conversations on ethical best practices, the diversity of ethical standards, the complexities of international collaboration, including culturally determined norms and values, and the challenges of asserting universal standards.

The international conference provides an accessible avenue for service-learning and community engagement scholars in the Asia-Pacific to share their scholarly work. With the aim to reach those who are involved in service-learning research, teacher education, and community engagement, the conference is open to scholars, students, non-government organizations, and community partners.
